Frequently asked questions

What do I wear - the dress code?

The dress code for our wedding reception is black tie formal. We have chosen a church local to most of our guests to provide comfort in the option of changing between the ceremony and reception. This means guests have the option of wearing something more comfortable in the day time and then dressing up for the night.

What is black tie?

Black tie is a formal dress code. For women that means formal dresses or gowns, and for men formal button up shirts, trousers and/or suits. We would appreciate our guests to take the opportunity to dress up as much as possible.

Once you see the reception, the photos and the vibe you'll totally love that you dressed up - so get into it!

Am I able to bring a plus one?

You can rest assured that any important and loved plus ones will be addressed on your invites! As such, we kindly ask that only those named on your invitations are submitted as part of your RSVP.

I still have questions, how can I contact you?

Are Children Invited?

As much as we'd like to invite all children, we can only accomodate a few close family. We are asking that guests refrain from bringing children unless noted on your invitation. We hope that you understand our decision, and are still able to join us on our special day!

Will everything be indoors?

Yes everything will be in doors - both the church and reception.

As the wedding is in November we will know better of the weather closer to the date and will advise of what the forecast will be.

Where will people be staying?

Most of our family have booked accomodation at Meriton Suites on Pitt Street. This location has the option for suites with multiple rooms which makes it the perfect location for families or big groups.

Please have a look at 'the details' page for more accomodation options.

Is there parking?

There is ample parking onsite at our church in Horsley Park.

For the venue, we recommend parking at the Piccadilly Sydney Car Park located at 137 Castlereagh Street, Sydney CBD NSW 2000, which can be easily pre-booked by clicking here. Please be sure you select the correct date and follow the instructions when booking your parking.

If you are being dropped of at the reception, there will be a designated area right out the front for you to pull into. Please be sure to let us know prior to the event so we can coordinate this with the venue.
